BLOG UPDATE: House From Stepmom And Bounty Hunter Fin

My Nyack Cafe Barcel Real Estate Encounter

Last night my husband Chris and I went to Cafe Barcel in Nyack for dinner. It's an intimate restaurant on Main St. with a Spanish theme. We had a lovely time chatting with a few friends we met from my South Nyack neighborood, and had a wonderful, casual dinner.

The highlight of my evening however was meeting Eleanor and Bill of Upper Nyack. They came up to me and said we have an anniversary you know... I immediately knew what it was... they were the first people that I sold a house to in Nyack 20 years ago. Prior to that I was selling and listing at an office in Nanuet, where I started my Real Estate carreer. I was living in South Nyack, but I hadn't sold a property here yet. I had met them at an Open House and they told me how they really wanted to live in Nyack.

I've seen them often around town and we've talked, but what made last night so special was that we had time to reminisce. We talked about their children who were toddlers at the time that we met and are  now college graduates and in the working world, and we talked about our lives, friends and families and community.

They still love their home and neighborhood and thanked me for working with them 20 yeas ago.

I left feeling very content and lucky to have met so many wonderful people throughout my career.
