The Last of the Heirlooms
In spite of the violent thunderstorms and even hail of Friday, we in Nyack have been in the midst of a most beautiful second summer this October. The weather has, for the most part, been glorious. And for the leaf chasers among you, I've heard that the colors this autumn will be spectacular as the leaves burst into super saturated scarlets, various ranges of orange russets, brilliant yellows and delicate pinks. Truly a feast for the eyes, the heart and the soul.
As the weather turns, do not forget that the Piermont Farmers Market- every Sunday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM- will still be outside until mid to late November. It will then return to it's indoors (winter) location at the Palisades Community Center on Oak Tree Road in Palisades, NY. All of the wonderful produce, artesian breads and baked goods, fresh fruit and veggies- cheeses, pickles and wines have sustained me throughout the spring and summmer. I am very grateful to the producers of such delicious seasonal bounty. I am, however, wondering when the price wars, the bidding and perhaps even some down and dirty insider trading will break out over the last of the highly prized and much coveted heirloom tomatoes! Lets keep our local produce local and our local economy local. Locavores Unite!
Remember that the Piermont Pier is still where it has always been ready for the power-walkers, chatty talkers, the serious joggers and the slow strollers who amble along anticipating each vista as every curve is rounded, as every straight a way reveals much appreciated sights. The doggies on their six foot leashes (it's the LAW) zig and zag sniffing every single rock and weed, every single reed and tree. They need to know where their friends AND their enemies have been. The toddlers toddle and stagger around, lurching along like Frankensteins in training- bundled up against the wind, practicing how to walk. And as I walk the Pier, I always feel a deep connectedness to this planet we call home.

I grew up near the Hudson River in Rockland County and then lived in San Francisco, Europe and Chicago. In 1984 I decided to return home and have been selling real estate in Rockland ever since. I am detail-oriented and work diligently. Because of the level of service I provide my buyers and sellers, most of my business comes from personnal referrals. I have proven my success throughout the years with a solid track record. So whether you are buying or selling a home, I welcome the opportunity to help you make the process comfortable, thorough and profitable.
