The New Year in Nyack

So the New Year has come and gone and most of us are still here. I've made some resolutions for this New Year that I will post on my bathroom mirror, my refrigerator, the dashboard of my car and maybe even write with a sharpie thin line magic marker somewhere on my body. i resolve to:

Let go of as much of my anxieties, panics and stresses as I am able to, unless they serve me well and are helpful.

Understand that if my worries aren't fixable, I've got to let them go too.

Put much less food on my plate and finish it all.

Give more to the charities, non-profits etc.. which actually produce good results in the communities they do their works in.

Remember every second of every day that there are people right here in our own backyards, in Nyack, in Rockland County, in America and around the world who suffer, and to find a way to make things easier for some of them.

Be more patient while on the check-out line at the super market and to be grateful that there is such abundance here in America.

Be more patient with other peoples's incompetencies- (especially while on line at the super market!)    

Let go of the things in my life which prevent me from reaching my creative potential.

Create as much beauty in my life as I can- i guess this means I will have to clear the decks, the floors, the closets, the table and chairs and every other surface in my house.

Know that while I am decluttering my house, this will also declutter my mind, leaving it free and open to new thoughts, experiences, projects, ambitions and successes for the New Year!

Know that all of the clothing and clutter will be greatly appreciated by someone, somewhere in need.

Resolve to occassionally forget about the diet.

And.... I resolve to add a touch- mind you a touch only!- of color to my wardrobe!!!
